now aren't you ashamed for judging? you along with the rest of the self-righteous corps have proved to be the model for the type of behavior she was posting about....shame on you!

my response had only to do with the non-contextual properties of the post...how quickly I was flamed by the poster and others talking of banning etc.
be fruitful and multiply unto thyself...but not in those words!

PS I would love a mulligan with Angie but not some of you other judgmental flamers!

I do not understand why you had to make your post. Angie tries to be funny. Ever comedian I have ever heard has jokes and comments that fly and some that don't. At best she was reminding us all to be nice to others. Obviously, you didn't get that. Why couldn't you just be nice? My mother taught me at a young age if you can't say something nice don't say anything at all. You might try that. At least consider being nice to other people. It might make you feel good about yourself. TV is supposed to be the friendliest city in the world. Making comments like "ok and this has to do with anything" is not nice. It isn't responsible. It isn't polite. It isn't endearing. It isn't considerate. Never miss a good chance to shut up: Will Rogers. If you don't have something nice to say - just be quiet: My mother. You don't need to insult others to feel good about yourself - Do you?

Toodles.

It's bugging me that I have no idea what you're talking about in this thread. I can't figure out why you are furious with everybody. I guess it's really not important in the scheme of things, but...........gee.

Not knowing what it is that you did, I thank you none the less.

I am surprised, though, that you did not edit or outright delete a post that told people to...how can I delicately say this...go fish themselves. At least that is how I interpreted the remark.

Once again, thank you Admin.

I am heartbroken at the hurt feelings that have been experienced the past several days. How can we lose such wonderful posters as Gracie, Angie and Russ? Please, you three, please come back. Believe me, there are hundreds of us out here in cyberspace who love you and want you back!! Let's just ignore the negativity and hopefully it will go away.

I'm with you on this one Richie. A lot of anger over nothing!

I have never understood, nor will I ever understand why some people find it necessary to make snide comments about another person's post. Read it if you must, comment upon it if you have something substantive to add, and if you don't follow it or think it is beneath your contempt - move on. As I have posted before, it is very easy to be misunderstood or misinterpreted on a message board. Nuance and context are not always readily evident in a brief written statement, especially if the writer is attempting satire or irony.

I agree. If BigLew didn't understand or like the thread he could have just moved on to the next thread. Why post something snotty? Like Thumper said, "My mother said if you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all."

Think before you judge.....

From the first time I read this post, I wondered why you did not state the problem, but instead spoke in parables.

The lack of context makes this very hard to understand.

I wondered, "Did somebody here call a 15 year old girl and slut? Did somebody here call a guy "fat"? Did somebody call a war-injured veteran "ugly"? It all sounds pretty nasty.
