Default Alligator spotting

I am having visitors from Switzerland next week and would like to show them an alligator

Have you seen one recently, from somewhere that is golf cart accessible?

Thank you

There are two small ones, about 4 feet, that live in the pond in Duval. If you come in the Duval gate it's on the left. Jump the curb and you can drive around the pond. There is usually one sunning on the sand island if it's a warm day.

Most generally, you can see one heading into Sumter Landing by the pond at Arnold Palmer's. Watch for golf carts pulled off the trail and it is likely that is what people are looking at.

We saw one on the island out in that pond yesterday afternoon around 3-330 PM.

We spotted one over the holidays while walking on the boardwalk at LSL. It was swimming close to the survace of the water. Sometimes you will see them down there. Folks aren't supposed to feed them...signs are posted how it's againest the law. We saw a lady doing it anyway!!

Take them to Silver Springs up in Ocala. The glass bottom boats are great.....as as reminder feeding gators is against the law for good reason.

The problem that you might have is that they are much less active this time of year. You don't see them around as much as in the summer time.

Default it depends on the temperature...

if it is warmer at the bottom of the water than on the banks they will be in the water, and vice versa...
