Most of those resources cited above are not used by most Villagers. Those who reside and spend most of their time inside “the bubble” are not affected much by what transpires out in Sumter County.

Double it Sumter County. Do it!
"Under Article VII, Section 9(b) of the Florida Constitution and Chapter 200 of the Florida Statutes, local property tax millage rates are legally capped at 10 mills ($10 per $1,000 of taxable property value) for each individual taxing authority."

Are you sure of that now a new law was passed - what's inside the pork ? The difference will be made up. Question is how? Those old protection devices may or may not apply but new and creative ideas will have no boundaries. At least in the short term. I have faith when the counties are handed lemons they will figure out how to make lemonade.

Please keep this discussion focused on Amendment 3 and its practical effects on local taxes and services.

National political tangents, ridicule, and assumptions about other voters’ motives need to stop.

Support factual claims with reliable sources and clearly distinguish predictions from announced changes.

Thank you to those contributing respectfully.

Further political commentary or personal jabs may be removed and may result in infractions.
