I have not heard of any village that doesn't have a social club of some sort.
Look in the weekly recreation news for listing of clubs, etc.

Thumbs up

I am renting a home in Winifred right now. I have been here since Sept. 1, and will leave at the end of Oct. I have found the neighborhood very nice. The folks here are friendly and helpful. I have not personally participated in any neighborhood gatherings, but I have noticed signs periodically about block parties and neighborhood gatherings. So...bottom line...I would say this is a very nice neighborhood.

We rented there last December. Very quiet, friendly people. Did not get involved in anything since I was there only a month. I like it. Convenient located.

We are snowbirds and live in the Latrobe villas in Winifred. Even though we're only there 3-4 months every year, the residents are very friendly and helpful. We already have some parties to attend during our next visit in ten days.

As the previous poster said, it's a very convenient location and access to Buena Vista is easy. We're very happy with our villa and neighborhood.

We bought our home in Winifred 3 and a half years ago. Have been full time for over two years. We feel like the luckiest people in the world as it was the 4th house we looked at. We would never sell our home here strickly because of our neighbors. I am sure that everyone thinks they live in the best village, however Winifred is in fact the best Just on our block there are 24 of us that golf every sunday. There is not one day of the week that less than 8 go out and golf together.

There is only one way in and one way out of Winifred by car. Many of the streets including ours are cul de sac which I believe makes for friendlier neighbors. Winifred is also a very small village. Close to Palmer and Laurel Manor and shopping.

I am sure that not all streets are as close as ours. We have our own street social club and there is a very active Winifred social club. People at the neighborhood pool are very friendly.

We have had one small area right where Winifred way makes the sharp right hand curve that has had a few sink hole problems.
