Lucky you Gracie. Uncle Sam on your roof, and you got to see it.
Eagles are amazing.

Gracie, it's time to install an 'eagle cam' on your roof!

Default Wonderful!

What a wonderful experience!! The odd thing is that as my husband and I were driving in our car today, I told him that I thought I just saw an eagle soaring above the trees...but it must have been a big hawk. Now I'm wondering what I did see. Whatever it was, I enjoyed watching it.

Thanks for sharing your pictures with us!

Might have been a turkey vulture. Pretty soon the white pelicans will be flying north.

Great pics gracie. Back in 2000 i got me a job on the maint golf crew out at del webb . We started at 5am every day in the dark. You would not believe how much wild life is roaming that golf course. We would see bald eagles all the time . Plus there were bears and lots of coyotes. Plus big water moccasin snakes. Plus every other kind of bird you could imagine. I am presuming that since the del webb course is just 7 miles north of the villages , that the courses here in the villages are probably populated the same way. You just have to get up early to see them.

They really are fascinating to watch. We have several nesting pairs near our lake house. They are great fishers but terrible skaters when the lake freezes. It's always a treat to see one and I hope I never get over that feeling.

Magnificent! You are one lucky lady that your neighbors were able to approach quietly enough to bring you out to see it.
