Can someone please explain how a person receiving 2 other sources of income, one being SS, age 75, receives unemployment compensation?

Someone mentioned the unemployment is being received from out of state, not sure where that info came from? If correct, this all seems very suspect.

With regards to the victim who was trying to enjoy his retirement. To have survived 87 long years, just to meet your fate in a parking lot at the hands of a 6' 2" 220 lb Scut Farkus (Christmas Story movie) is beyond disturbing. It's downright disgusting!

Given the way this all went down, hard to imagine this would be the first sign of violence in this man's past.

The Villages Florida

Agree.

This hate in America needs to end
Prayers to his wife, my heart breaks for her. I can’t imagine watching a 6’ bully hitting your husband. I hope she is able to help put him in jail for the rest of his life.

Once a week you have cage matches in the town squares. It will be a new form of entertainment and these old timers can relieve their built-up anger. I'd pay a couple of bucks to watch this.
There are caged fights for men like the puncher. It's called prison. Maybe this is what developer had in mind when he built so close to Coleman. He can add on a drive thru and just drop the nut cases off.

We were at Glenview that night. Our car was hemmed in by the police cars. Yikes!

Not trying to be a wet blanket here--but Mr. Moore is not guilty of anything, until a court of law says he is. Until that happens, if it does, he enjoys the same rights as any of the rest of us.

The information I've read has aroused the same ire in me that it apparently does in just about everything else, and I admit to giving in to this emotion numerous times, here and in other places. But we need to remind ourselves that what we know so far, at least insofar as I know (maybe there are other, less partisan sources) comes from an online newspaper that is notorious for wasting no opportunity to cast The Villages in general, and Villagers in particular, in as bad a light as it can. They have a stake in controversy, and history has shown that they'll promote this controversy as hard and as often as they can.

There is a reason that criminal cases aren't tried in the Court of Public Opinion. Had this one been, it seems obvious that Mr. Moore would have paid the ultimate price mere hours after the story hit the aforementioned online newspaper. But we're not vigilantes, after all.

The story finally made The Daily Sun today--35 days after the fact.

I do not think you read all the articles. The puncher left the scene and the man dying. The news was then reported by the Villages asking if anyone knew identification of the puncher. Through this, the police were able to track him down and arrest him.

I read it. The point is still the same. Innocent until PROVEN guilty in a court of law.

Understand that. But you made it seem that one paper was trying to scathe the villages. Not true! And not the only paper to cover the story.
