Huh? the article you shared stated 1 in 3 adults have a criminal record. So, it is actually a little more than 30%. The poster was close enough.

The article also points out that the FBI "definition" [lol] of a criminal record includes everyone that has been arrested, not necessarily convicted. That is a ludicrous statistic. Ironically, after calling it a half-truth, the article makes no mention of the number or percent of actually convicted criminals. More quality journalism [eyeroll].

Did you read the ENTIRE article?

It included ALL those ever arrested, even if the charges were dropped or they were found Not Guilty...

So technically, they were "in the system", but they have not been convicted of a crime...

Did you read all the posts before adding yours? The poster was using a number to defend a different issue. This is one of the problems with this forum. People often go out on a tangent. Then ask, where's your proof? Next thing we are going to talk about on this post will be something like " I heard most aliens are criminals." Then someone will ask for proof. Geez! Give Orange Blossom Baby a break.
