I had to complain the other day because the hot dogs which were on sale, or BOGO, were at least a month or more out of date. . that is worse than not policing the express lane for the entitled customers. .
Actually, I did ask Publix how they enforce the express lanes. Their "official" answer from the corporate office, was that they do not enforce their policy. At least they were honest.

Publix never needed paper numbering system until recently, when a bunch of people from out of state moved here. People just respected each other and knew who was next without needing a paper strip to prove it.

Southern hospitality is a real thing that is getting lost....

LOL, there are supermarkets all over China. Hell, there are over 300 Sams Clubs and Walmart's in China!

Correct. I won't even shop at the deli anymore. I just buy sliced meats that are already packaged. The number system is a much better system, especially when it is crowded.

Publix and every other company, government entity, and all parents.

This is just another sign of societal decay, with no one taking any personal responsibility for their actions and choices.

My library UpNorth stopped fining people for overdue books bc we certainly can't expect people to return books on time and be penalized if they don't.

Has anyone been to an airport recently where a flight was delayed? Good luck not getting 'mugged' by inconsiderate travelers.

Actually it would probably by around 10,513 BC. Or, somewhere around there.

Wow never thought golden Publix would be thrown under the bus by unhappy customers. I frequent Publix every 4.2 weeks, with my own insulated bag. Buy 2 rolls of fresh pet, one thin slice bread, @0700 in and out in less than 7 minutes. Using only self checkout.

Thankfully the rest of grocery needs arrive at our front door at whatever day and time I choose.
