We should all be following the green signs. But, does "not allowed" apply?
See my post #56, from the Florida DMV.

OK, that's an opinion, but it would have been more polite to explain WHY it was such a bad idea. The round-a-bouts have ALWAYS been problems and will ALWAYS be problems. They only seem to work well when traffic density is low. Therefore, all suggestions for change should be considered. I always liked one-way streets like the way Washington D.C. was set up. For example, it MIGHT (?) work to have all 4 lanes of Morse go (say ) SOUTH and all 4 lanes of Buena Vista go (say) NORTH. Then the smaller east / west roads could also be made one way. I believe that one-way roads tend to have fewer accidents.

Is there anywhere in the US where it is legal to make a left hand turn from the right hand lane?

Roundabouts should only have one lane, to turn from the left lane and make a right turn is asking for an accident. In Ohio, they are one lane.

10000+ views so far. Roundabouts never seem to loose the luster no matter how many "Sumter County Sherriff" pamphlets are published. No problem - don't argue here - argue your standpoint to the Sherriff Deputy that hands you the traffic violation. I'm too lazy tonight to research but my guess is dog poop is still the number one thread.

Did you bother to read the thread before passing judgement?

Once again, many people drive w/a "dash-cam" mounted to their front mirror. They are quite popular in parts of Europe due the the explosion of people causing accidents and then trying to blame the other party. It's a huge problem over there...

So, to explain what happened (once again), the OP was driving, minding his own business, when this happened right in front of him.

Since he was driving with his dash-cam on ( a smart move, IMHO), he caught the infraction on his dash-cam...

He then added a voice over, explaining what had happened and posted it here...

If you think he was actually following people, just to videotape them, maybe your paranoia meter needs an adjustment...

Washington DC was set up by L'Enfant while taking Mushrooms... I'm positive about that...

A grid system, with multiple, randomly placed wagon wheel like circles, with just a sprinkling of diagonal avenues, thrown in for sh!ts and giggles...

I've been running dash cams in my cars since that Russian Meteor in 2013.

Driving north from TV last week I caught this on the dash cam. It's a 4k dashcam so there's a lot of real estate to work with and any movement is done post processing in Adobe Premiere.
Vehicle Fire, Interstate 95 North Bound, somewhere in South Carolina. 5-8-21 - YouTube

Shooting star and flash on one trip back from the Airport on my Dashcam.

Another one here:

I've got a ton more dashcam videos on my channel. I also post BBQ and other things.

If that’s your opinion, of course you are entitled to it and it is true for you. But it is far from fact and has been proven wrong by many studies.

Here is the problem, which gives the right to that white SUV driver to cross the broken line.
The lane-line should be a solid white line not a broken line, IMHO.

The dotted line allows the driver to change lanes (go left), but the onus is on that driver to be sure that the other lane is clear for him to make the change. Anytime a driver makes a lane change, he puts himself in the “liability zone “.

The broken line enables drivers entering from the right to continue straight. The driver in the white car, who entered previously and not from the right, must go straight and exit the circle.

As has been explained in several posts before, it really is NOT/NOT that hard to understand. The rules are logical and are clearly marked on every entrance to every circle in the Villages. Many of these comments seem to be struggling hard to find justifications for bad habits.
