Default Anthropic IPO

Coming! Late November.

Anthropic says the economic value generated by knowledge workers globally in 2025 was more than $40 trillion. That’s the value of work done by people such as analysts, writers, programmers and lawyers, and Anthropic is saying that is the pool of activity its AI could help with.

And risk assessment is 70 pages in 335 page prospectus.

We are on the edge of history.

Personally, I would never invest in an IPO. The insiders make money, but the outsiders lose money. My opinion.

great marketing material. . the marketing prof gives $ANT an A+

but remember the dot com bubble and bust?
It wasn't that the internet wasn't a great idea and did change historical practices. . but that financially, the positive cash returns were much later in the lifecycle than the debt payments which needed the cash. Yes, it will eventually change alot for the better, but the frontier models will be frontier for a few more years, before the investment return is realized, and the controls in place are standardized.

just a change in the political environment can cause data center investment to slow way down or stop. political environment regulations can create guardrails which will take years to implement, the mistakes can be costly. . .

lawsuit against ChatGPT:

so maybe the IPO investment will pay off instantly, and never look back, however, I highly doubt that this will be the case. I expect that easily within 3 years the stock price will be below the initial IPO price.. .

so if you expect the investment to return a very high percentage, you only need a very small investment to perform relatively well.

good luck to us!

For me it is not actually investment, just a chance to be part of history. Whether the stock goes up or down would not make much of an effect on me personally. Just the chance to be part of something phenomenal. I use these models all the time.

Great, perhaps our government could IPO the technology and cover most of our crippling national debt?

Default US Government Dropped Anthropic

Since the US Department of Defense has dropped them, I’m thinking Anthropic is not all roses as far as investments are concerned.

Space x has done nothing. If they are selling wait. Get a better price after investment banks stop supporting it early.

Timing is everything. Most of the big tech stocks are down a lot from their highs.

SPXVIX on X: "@grok Most of the Mag 7 plus Broadcom are 12% or more off their all time highs. The S&P 500 is 1.6% off its record. All eyes on $AAPL now!" / X

IPO mania is well-known phenomena. On average they are not good buy-and-hold stock investments.

From 2011-2024, 1,724 IPOs have:
- Average 1-day return: +23%
- Average 1-year return: -2%

Makes sense to me: let someone else use the best frontier AI models in the world — we’ll see how we do against them — right?

May not matter. China is less than a year behind. The question is can Anthropic stay ahead?

Yes — and have been known to change mind when warranted.
