I am interested in 9 hole championship groups if there are any such ones and if there are openings in them. I just enjoy getting out for a couple of hours to play rather than committing 4+ hours for an 18 hole round. Let me know please if you are aware of any such groups. Thanks.

2026 is our 20th year in The Villages and every golf group (Executive or Championship) started in a Village we lived in. Over the years, we have lived in three villages before settling 10 years ago where we are now. Believe it or not a few of them are still going. The best way to start is with two or three foursomes and a couple of subs. Many groups stay small because over time they are easier to manage. There are exceptions, I know of one executive course couples league of 20 with subs that is about 10 years old and started with a meeting of 2 couples on our street. Occasionally we play 9 holes on a championship course but not as a large group. Good luck and have fun. Fore
