So the mattress showed up today as scheduled in a 76 lb box. It was like a big sausage roll when we unboxed it. Removed all the plastic wrap and it immediately began to take on a life of its own. They say it may take a day or two for the mattress to completely reach its full potential, but we have it on the bed to sleep on tonight. Initial test was very impressive, we'll see after a few nights sleep.

Have had a similar one to the Leesa that I got from Sam's Club for $400 about two years ago after wasting another 3K on the BeautyRest Sleeper. It's great and I have no complaints. Holding up well. Will never go back to the springs!

First nights sleep on our Leesa mattress exceeded my expectations. There is a good amount of support, but the top layer is cushioned enough to cradle your body. Did not experience one "hot" spot as we call them - you know when you have to turn over cause your hip starts to hurt from lying on it too long. Also had no issue with the bed sleeping hot eventhough it is foam.. So far so good - we are replacing a sleep number bed we've had for 6 years. My husband woke up and said his back hasn't felt this good in years!

Did you have any off gassing of the mattress when you opened it? We've been sleeping on foam - do it yourself talay latex, memory foam layers for 15 yrs and we are down to just the memory foam, other layers became dog beds and are in the market for another.

Absolutely no off gassing that I noticed and I was expecting some. The weather was nice enough I did have the bedroom door opened so don't know if that helped or not.

I can't lift a 76 pound box. Does anyone know of someone who will come and set it up and remove my existing mattress? Also, do I need to buy a bed board? My back is killing me! Expensive mattress is only 4 years old

I bought a Serta from Sam's Club. King size was about $600 and we're very happy with it. It came in a plastic container with wheels. Very easy to wheel into the house, lay in the foundation and open up.
Initially it was very hot but it was fine after about a month.

I had a $2,000 Beautyrest up north and it did nothing for me. I slept on cheap foam when I lived in The Philippines and it was better than the Beautyrest. I would never spend a lot on a mattress again. If the foam develops a sag, I'll just buy a new one. The manufacturers of the high end mattresses say that they should be changed every eight years anyway. I can buy three of these in eight years and be ahead of the game. Plus it's more confortable.

Thanks for the Leesa review. I have been looking at them on line. I think this may be the right mattress for me.

Update on our Leesa mattress - after night 6 I am happy to report my neck issues continute to improve and still no pressure point issues with hips or shoulders. I'm impressed and would highly recommend.
