Sounds like something my son would make. He used to make a box of mac and cheese, mix a can of chili in it and call it gourmet cooking, lol.

And we just bought some battery operated candles. Got a couple set up to enjoy and the power came back on. Oh well, we have the option of shutting off the lights, tv, computer and sitting outdoors with the soft flickering glow from those candles whether we have electricity or not...that's the nice thing about living here...not as many deadlines to be met, stuff to get ready for work, etc.

Mac and cheese mixed with chili sounds pretty good as a matter of fact!

Well, we still don't really know what happened, but we do know that a few of us decided to bake at the same time, the power was out for about 40 minutes, fire trucks were moving along quickly on Morse, equipment went on and the power went out, equipment went off, power came on, Market Square was impacted by the power outage, mac and cheese mixed with chili sounds like something lary and I might enjoy eating and we shouldn't let lary cook for himself....

So it's YOUR fault, Pooh? I heard that they send out the fire trucks whenever they know you're baking.... Or do we blame Lary?

Thumbs up

When our power went out, we decided not to cook so we went out for Chinese. On the way home, we stopped at the fire station to ask what had happened. He told us that there was some sort of underground break (dang those geckos) and SECO had decided to do a reroute because of LSL being dark. Apparently, all went well as we had electricity when we returned home around 8PM.

Thanks for that information, Mac. Maybe the fire trucks were related to the trauma alert on the Sumter County Incident page, but I still don't think we should let lary cook for himself!

The power came back on shortly after the machinery stopped. Coincidence?
I believe the machinery you heard was probably emergency generators that start automatically when the power goes out... so ... no coincidence!
