If you've waxed your car. The brushes should not affect the paint. Waxing should be done once every 6-12 months even the spray on waxes will help

Glad to have a car wash instead of having to go so far north. Waiting until they do the inside too.

Is this car wash similar to the Village Car Wash where they have people who dry, vacuum and wash your windows? Or is it just a drive through and you do everything else?

It just sprays water. No brushes touch the car. Sam's Club has one touchless and one non-touchless. The cost is 7 dollars.

Should always tip.

I'm sure he knows that it's Wildwood just like everybody who can't cross 466a with a cart, but the Sweetwater website calls it their Villages location. Nobody's blaming the developer for the 25% difference in basic washes... yet.

Here, even the automatic ones in the gas stations charge $8 and up!

When they start full service it won't be worth the 3 bucks to drive to The Villages Car Wash.

Sweetwater Car Wash - 466a near Lowes.

Well, I went there today. We have a white SUV and it fortunately does not get too dirty - primarily driving in the rain causes that.

The car wash is very nice, and comforting that all is new equipment. I "splurged" for the Express wash -$10. They did a bit of pre-wash; soap-sprayed the front, windows, mirrors, and rear - and wiped those down maually.

Something new for me, this car wash doesn't have those narrow tirewide tracks - they seem to be a couple feet wide and rollers; very smooth.

Seems to be the usual sprays/cloth brushes etc etc - but more of them. They DO contact the car, but not worried - and they surely WOULD get any dirt/grime off. Near the end there is some extra rollers and sprays and wheel stuff - no doubt used for the Premium wash extras.

At the end - the blowers did a great job blowing excess water off the vehicle - and NO water spots either.

When it's all done, the light turns green and off you go, turn left and there are rows of free vacuums. Used that - and **warning** those suckers are extremely sucky - would easily take a small towel, sweater or such - almost TOO powerful.

Bottom line, I still kinda like to wash the car - but every once in a while, will go there for a 'deep clean'.

Dean,

Our tunnel uses a neoglide foam and not a brush so the paint will not be "beaten" or scratched. You're more than welcome to come take a look! We aren't afraid to show anyone the material we use to clean cars. After years of cleaning 1000s of cars, we are confident in our equipment and transparent about what we are using to clean cars in the community.
