I've always had my framing done at Michael's. They do great work, and often have huge discount offers for custom framing in the newspaper.

The price of the framing at Marion Market was very reasonable, but I can't give you a price for the size you mentioned. You can choose from plain to elaborate frame material, matted or unmatted - they will give you a quote depending on what you choose. Turnaround time for me was one week. I've used Michael's, and the vendor at Marion Market was far superior, in my opinion.

I have had several pieces matted and framed and a couple of posters dry-mounted, matted and framed at Michael's in Lady Lake. They did a nice job.

Talk to Dan. He did a great job on framing for us at a very reasonable price compared to Michaels. You won't be disappointed.

I do all of my own framing but if I didn't I would use DK in Leesburg, their work is very good. I would avoid Michaels.

Hi, One of the best framers in the area is Glen Haven Gallery. They are in Leesburg near the High School at 2545 South Street, Leesburg, FL 34748 (352) 787-7954.
Just visiting the shop is well worth it for the antiques displays and of course the Marmoset monkeys are just delightful. |

I've spent $thousands with Michaels, but even with their discount ads, they caused our divorce. Prices

There is no question that they do the framing and matting beautifully, but if you paint and want a lot of things framed that adds up. I am always looking for older frames. (large ones)

As a professional picture framer for over 30 years my advice depends on how much your art means to you. If you CARE about your art you will go to The King's Gallery...if you don't care about your art you will go to any one of the other recommended entities. BTW - many of the mentioned framing "stores" use frames that are actually plastic or extruded foam. If the corners pop or if you want it cut down, or you need it repaired, it can NOT be done. People think they have solid wood frames but they do not! NONE of these places will tell you they have sold you a plastic frame! The King's Gallery has NO plastic frames and they do everything to PROTECT the art.

I understand that framing just a couple of pictures is one thing and framing a lot of them like we painters do is another, but I couldn't resist just saying how much I wish I knew how to do it. Thank you for having the skill and running a successful business. I respect both.
