Hundreds of door slams.

Take the damn doors off or don't use them on the course.

We love ours especially if it starts to rain so I just sit in the air conditioning. We leave our doors open when playing golf and try to close them quietly.

One guy in our foursome had an Atomic cart and I went to pass him on the course and he flung his door open and I came within inches of ripping his whole door off.

The doors are a safety issue and have no place on a golf course. Take the doors off and then I see no problem.

And for the fire hazard concerns, last fires I have seen and read about in TV were gas powered carts and cars. I have a Tesla and two lithium powered EZGOs. They normally charge at night in the garage and I sleep just fine.
My son has a bolt. When he is travelling he stops at walmarts across the country and uses the rapid charging stations. He said he can top the car off in approx 15 minutes.

A Chevy Bolt? I got passed by one of those recently. Yes, I was walking, but embarrassing nonetheless 😂😂😂

First off , taking the doors off is
not possible the moment , not an available option .

Secondly, if you were close enough while passing the cart to “rip his whole door off” then shame on you for your reckless driving !

About nine or so years ago I was playing at OBG and the starter told my fellow golfer he was going to let him play this time. But he needed to get different tires on his golf cart. I looked at his tires and they didn’t look much different than any other tire to me. I’ve seen tires that look like “mud” tires on the golf course. Heavy looking and big tread that couldn’t be good for the course. BTW, my friend never changed tires and never had anyone say they weren’t legal again. Sorry a bit off the OP’s post.

LOL I’ve certainly seen old guys playing golf like clowns before. And good for us who can still swing a club (not as fast as before) but still enjoying this crazy game. Our group does have a guy who has one of those Atomic carts. He always leaves the door open when he gets out to hit. A disabled Vet and a fair golfer too. Keep swinging never give up!

There is an “approved tire” list on Golf The Villages website. It’s under the “Golfing in The Villages” tab.

lol. The doors are about 4 feet wide and no one should have to anticipate someone opening a car door while playing golf.

You can't even see through the back window that they're getting out of the car.

I guarantee one of these clown cars get their door ripped off on the course, it's just a matter of time and then maybe TV will ban carts with swinging doors from the course.

Not that I am dreadfully worried, but once I charge my lithium ion cart, I unplug it. Partially for the fire concerns, but also that a passing thunderstorm might cause a power surge that fries the carts electronics. Once it's charged, no reason to leave it plugged in. Depending on how much I golf/go to the squares, I can go a week before needing to plug in again and top off.
