Default How to furnish an Amarillo's Florida room?

Last month I bought a three bedroom Amarillo ranch house. At the rear, where usually a lanai would exist, mine has a Florida room, i.e., windows all around, but it is heated and cooled, and the soon-to-be tile floor is on the same level as the rest of the house. There is no door separating it from the dining area, just an archway. To complete the "picture", there is am equal-sized lanai to the left of the Florida room, with a short step down, and plastic sliding windows all around. [believe it or not, there is then a walk-in closet size "birdcage" to the left of the lanai !]

So, I am a single guy, and I don't really see a need or best use for the Florida room. I'd be inclined to just leave it empty for now until someone eventually told me what I should do with it, but I'd like to rent it out part of the year, so...... empty might not work well!

I had seen many house-for-sale photos usually showing another table there with 2 to 4 chairs, but it would be so close to the dining room table. How often do people actually use such tables? In my case, I have the adjoining lanai, in which, again, it seems most people place a patio type table with chairs.
So, is it best to make a Florida room a smaller version living room? A love seat and chair, as a place to mainly just read? The previous owner had a tv cable outlet there, but I am not sure that a tv would get much use there, since I plan to have a big one in living room, and others in bedrooms.

I guess the bottom line question is, since I have no strong preference, what would most potential tenants prefer?

Thank you in advance to anyone who has even read this far!

We used ours for a reading room. We had a couch with some end tables for a while, then we had a gliding rocker and foot stool for a while with some plants. We've seen others with book shelves and such. Pretty much up to you.

I have also heard of people making it into a lounge area with a bar and some stools. It is a difficult room to use the space.

We have a Bougenveilla which is the same model as the Amarillo and we also have an enclosed lanai; however was done after the fact so we still have the sliding door from the dining room. We have had heat and air brought in and drywalled so I guess at this point it is a Florida room. We literally live in that room. Chose comfortable outdoor wicker furniture, including 2 motion chairs, have a beautiful rug on the floor and a TV.
The beauty of this is we feel like we are outside without the dirt and heat. Our table is on the extended patio with the grill.

What size is the Florida Room? There is two model amarillos with a 9x12 florida room and lanai, and a 12x15 florida room and lanai. We have 12x15 and we put a couch with pull out bed for extra company. Also hung tv on wall in corner, and makes for another room to watch tv etc. Just nice to have that extra room, to do whatever with it.

Cool Florida room

I use it for my office and have a craft table out there which I could use for extra guests or when we host bunco. What my wish is to put plantation shutters out here and have window seats built in on one end. It would be extra storage in the benches and I could use a small table there for doing crafts, artwork, puzzles etc.

My parent's use theirs as their TV room with two recliners and use the living room for visiting with people with the couch and love seat. I have also seen it used as an office or computer area.

I think since you plan on renting it out, the sleeper sofa and tv are the way to go, a nice rug, and other comfy seating.
