I hate it when people use the little dots...

To paraphrase Deadpool (while breaking the 4th wall), it's "lazy writing"...

Could be my education, or my sense of humor. Or both. But could you actually (phonetically) make sense of it?

By the way, I am never offended by comments about me. I've heard it all. I'm married?

My typos are about 50% autocorrect, 50% drunkenness and 50% lack of education. It's all tied together with 100% dilligaff and a 10 year old boys sense of humor.

Something like that. I have 10 toes, 4 on one foot and 6 on the other.

Sounds reasonable (I've actually seen that in my practice...)

One of my peeves though is the use of homophones. When I see them I usually conclude one of two things: that the writer is a millennial and thus conditioned by social media to use them, or that he or she is a lazy person over 40.
Your just to worried about homophobes too care about the spelling seen. What could bee better than a grate idear behind grater content cuz thats all that madders.

from my thought bubble: You're probably from New England, so why would i be offended with sarcasm having been living in NE all my life?

True story:
The utility company i worked at had its headquarters in Brooklyn, NY
The company was owned by an English company, and many english managers and directors would be assigned here. .
When one of them was asked "How do you like it here?"
The person replied, "Its nice, but a lot of swearing!"
The local employee retorted: "Well this is New York City!"

and yes, its not related to typing grammer directly, but its relevant in how different people have different expectations of communication styles.

Heh. Phonetically that's a B+. Any other criterion....

But, waxing pedantic for just a moment, WHAT you want to say when writing is heavily dependent on HOW you say it. Onomatopoeia, euphony/cacophony, etc., all play a part in good writing. Often, the word choices in and of themselves can impart a meaning to what is written that can be entirely independent of what the words say. One favorite example: A story is written about the impending retirement of a well known office-holder. Both stories are precisely the same, word for word, but with two notable exceptions. One story refers to the person in question as a "venerable statesman", while the other uses the phrase "aging politician". To me, "venerable statesman" brings to mind someone like Winston Churchill. "Aging politician?" Any one of probably twenty less-than-savory examples. The INFORMATION presented in both stories is precisely the same, but the FEELING one gets from reading it may be entirely different.

Yeah, I know. Not tremendously important here in TOTV.

I agree so far, & I’m sure most people use correct spelling but spell check will spell it different but I’m sure most people understand what they’re saying. Don’t you agree?
