Unhappy Bad Car Accident last night

I haven't read the paper yet this morning...but on my way home from work last night (11pm) I passed a very bad car accident at 466 and Buena Vista! It looked like the car drove head on into a telephone/electrical pole. There were several parked cars, a tow truck and sherriff cars around....they were all standing in a hole that was dug up by the construction crew.

It was on my left as I was just about turn left to head north on Buena Vista from 466.

It looked bad and was wondering if anyone has heard anything!

Unfortunately that was my mother's car into the pole. She was making a left turn from 466 to Buena Vista and the arrow changed, an oncoming pickup truck was coming on fast and she swerved to avoid contact with the vehicle and instead hit the pole. Car is totaled, mom is still in the hospital with, Thank God, minor injuries. My thanks to all that stopped by and especially to one couple that was able to give me a call on my cell and I was able to be there within minutes.

That is so scary CAL. Thankfully your Mom only suffered minor injuries and I hope that she will be out of the hospital very soon and well on the way to recovery. Its great though that so many people stopped by to help. Yet another reason that TV is the best place in the world.

Cal, glad your mom is doing ok. We live just off 466 in Tall Trees and cars just whiz along 466 like crazy without checking for other cars. I am guessing that the guy just barrelled through when he saw the light change, never paying attention to your mom. God bless her with a full recovery.
