Default Palm tree hawkers

Every day south of 44, unsavory types in unmarked trucks with palm trees knock on doors. Highly annoying and suspicious.

Who else is being bothered? Time for authorities to send them packing.

Do not buy the trees, these are typically NOT suitable for our location and die or get sickly.

What authority can do what about them?

Ask to see their solicitors license. If they do not possess one, call your local law enforcement agency and report them. Take a photo of the person attempting to sell you the item, a photo of their vehicle, and a license plate if possible so the LEO's can follow up on the investigation. Video is paramount to photos if possible.

Florida law does require a solicitation permit. But, I doubt that the local police would do much to enforce it. Even if they wanted to enforce the law, what would they do?

Agree, had many requests for services 3 years ago South of 44. All types of requests for work. Talked to all of them and said no thanks I appreciate the offer but don’t need anything. They went on their way.

A guy on my street bought a 6' palm off the back of a truck for a good price, has never covered it for freezes, and it still looks great.

Community Watch doesn't care about humans deficating on public knee walls in T V. Why would they chase down a landscaper with trees in their trailer?
