Perhaps this is my parking lot. Do you also teach your students not to make a diagnosis before they know the patient?

Responsibility's can be a bitch. They can force you to move somewhere you do not like and force you to remain until such a time that the responsibility does not exist. I do not regret having to take on this responsibility. It is part of life and when the day comes that that responsibility does not exist ... it will be the saddest day of my life as it will mean that someone I love dearly will be gone.

I could give you a loooonnnngggg list of places that I would love to move to (or back to) in order to "get it any better". Places were I do not have to deal with "Stepford" like covenants that govern homogenized, sterile, "villages". Places were those that live there would not prefer that the unwashed masses stay off "my" roads, paths and entertainment "squares" ... save of course those "service" folks to cut the grass and clean the house. Places were I am not surrounded by myopic, rightwing keep-your-socialist-hands-off-my-medicare knuckleheads. But first and foremost, places were I can once again immerse myself in the healing waters of mother ocean.
You are obviously very unhappy. You sound so negative and are holding a grudge for some unknown reason

Default Freedom for those who think

Talked to sign maker on the square tonite ,,, he was telling me a way to get around it ,,, is to hang for sale sign from your lite post stand along with your name sign,,,, he said he has developed a special bracket to accommodate this set-up. Freedom and liberty shall prevail, if u just think outside the box. He indicated he has 6 of them sold! Don't believe the koolade tastes good

I don't understand what all of the hoopla is about! We Realtors get blamed for everything that goes wrong. Bad housing market, shady loans, and now complaints about signs cluttering neighborhoods. Sheesh!

I agree and it's shocking how many village people just go along with it and are happy happy. The Koolaide must be spiked as well.

I actually read the covenants BEFORE closing, and at closing, signed off on receipt, and agreement to comply was inferred. They go a long way toward keeping TV a beautiful place, IMHO.

Homes are listed on-line, what is the purpose of the signs these days?

I always say unless it affects you personally, just keep quiet about it. Live here and be happy. Are you planning to sell your home? I'm planning to stay here in The Villages and enjoy all the wonderful things here for a long, long time to come.

Doesn''t bother me one way or another about For Sale signs or For Rent signs in the yard or in the window. This is a thriving community and will stay that way with or without a few naysayers who obviously enjoy griping for their fun instead of getting out with others and enjoying the amenities of The Villages.

I will try very hard to not be happy today to accomodate villageshooter BUT it will be hard as our older daughter is here for a week and we took her to the square last night where we met the so nice Tommy T and his dear wife. It was a lovely night and the band was great and a lot of munchkins are here in town this week because of Camp Villages that they do with their grands and a lot of darling little moppets were out there dancin' and the big folks were all dancin' and people just can't seem to stop smilin' hereabouts.

I will try. I know I am annoying.

I'm amazed, how many folks must have been in a stupor when they bought. We have restrictions?

i don't believe the mls realtors place an address in their ad unless it is an open house day.

and if someone is just out for their 'sunday drive' thru the villages without their internet connection, they would have no idea which properties are for sale without that sign.

Realtor dot com if you google MLS is a mainstay. The address is shown.

Default Isnt anyone surprised??

Isnt anyone surprised that the restrictions can be amended by the developer without notice to the owners, by just filing a document? That concerns me a bit.
