Maybe less and less people are supporting the wacko's in Hollywood like Baldwin, Baldwin, Smith, Cosby, Spacey, Gibson..............oh it goes on and on.

Agree; Epic is also awesome. The AMC in Leesburg is closer, depending on where you live in The Villages, and is much less expensive if you join their A-list program. There is also a very nice Epic in Mount Dora; but, again, it's a farther drive.

The Barnstorn Theater was definitely worth the ride. Hope it opens soon.

i agree. some films are just MADE for the big screen. remember "Gentlemen Prefer Blondes'? perfect example on the musical numbers, trying to watch it on tv doesn't cut it, you really need the impact of cinemascope

I thought movie theaters were going the way of landlines. We can be in the comfort of our homes and watch 1,000s of movies, not sure why anyone wants to go out and do the same thing.

Would think the restaurants in the squares get additional revenue from folks going to the movies and than dinner so surprised they would not be putting pressure to reopen.

Default Agreed

I agree it is not as fun without the big screen and surroundsound! Sitting in the dark movie theater with my popcorn and soda part of the summer experience!

Me too. Especially with the blockbusters where you need to buy your ticket a few days ahead like the Star Wars movies and A Star is Born.

Same time as they complete the promised remodel of Spanish Springs theater—never! Streaming makes theaters unnecessary, more space for their stupid apartments!

There is also the community feeling at a movie theater. It is fun to hear and see the reactions of the audience to a film being shown.

A very reliable source at the ministry of truth says all three village theatres and other village properties will be used for section 8 housing. It certainly is the morally correct thing to do.
