Now I’ve heard that the gym is moving to that location. One of the lures to moving to The Villages was all of the wonderful things they offered. One movie theater for over 160,000 people wasn’t one of the perks.

Nicely put.

One large theater group recently decided to close its door as it count not keep their doors open. Sadly it is a declining industry

Sad to say, there's not much quality there so finding better movies on TV works for us.
However, We really liked Barnstorm.

I don't watch movies at the theatres or on TV.. Only golf on the weekends.
Too many Hollywood nuts have a different view of politics than me.

Watch for the movie could care less what actors think.

I think you could stand on your head and spit Chicklets and wish and hope and talk about it this way then talk about the other two theaters opening another way and no matter how you present your argument and wishes I'm almost completely certain that in the end, the Sum Total will be NOTHING! NOTHING! NOTHING!

There are other options, use them. Let's get onto something else already.

That is true but......The Villages should no longer "tout" a movie theater in each square in their literature, if in fact, it still does state that. That would be considered false advertising.

I’d suggest you invest in a very large tv, surround sound and snacks. You’ll never miss a movie theater other than the fact you’ll have to clean your own restroom.

IMHO, a large screen TV and a surround sound system in one's living room will never replace a movie theater with huge screens and a sound system that can not be duplicated in a residential home.

What is wrong with PG-13 and R rated movies? Pearl clutching?

I ask myself the question. Do I feel slighted by the closure of these theaters after it was advertised six years ago that there were three and now there is only one? The answer comes back that I feel like I still got the deal of a lifetime and feel lucky that I have one theater if there is a movie 🎥 I’m going to die if I can’t see it Pronto Prente. Give up the battle!

They can be great actors or actresses and unfortunately many of them have the morals of _________. Lets just say no morals and their opinions are not something I am interested in.

That applies to many people. Some of the great actors and actresses are great people. Some aren't. My Dad used to handle insurance claims of the rich and famous and some of them were anything but nice.

"Old" people find PG13 too salty?

Movie theaters have gone "belly up" all over the country...

They ArcLight theater in the mall nearest my home in MD closed permanently (as did all of the ArcLight theaters, nation wide...

AMC just recently bought them out and reopened the theater. We've gone a half a dozen times for first run movies. Never more than 1/2 filled...
