It! I’m on hold and giving the St Augustine a chance to revive itself .. sometimes it looks better when I leave it alone

I have Bermuda invading my lawn and it is not pretty like a putting green. It sends out long runners which invade neighboring grasses as well as gardens. I asked my lawn care service if they could remove it and was told that once you have it about the only way to get rid of it would be to dig up the lawn and resod with whatever you want and then watch as the Bermuda remnants gradually reestablish.
And be aware of the fact that your lawn mowing service would be sharing your Bermuda with your neighbors who will be writing to TOTV with threads about "How did I get Bermuda grass invading my lawn and how can I get rid of it?
