Default Best dash cams?

Have had 2 close calls lately where the other drivers would have been at fault so I’m considering a dash cam; any recommendations? TIA.

Have a Garmin in our car.
Simple set up and not complicated to use.
Bluetooth, and saves picture automatically minutes before and after if in collision or emergency braking of car.
Turns on and off on its own.

I bought a Redtiger from Amazon and had it professionally installed at BestBuy. It’s a fantastic camera with a ton of features. The 4K video is crystal clear.

I have a RING.

Amazon.com

It's expensive, but I've gone through 3 or 4 other cameras. The heat from hanging on the windshield seems to do them in. If it has a suction cup to hold it up, it will fall down on a regular basis.

Because it's RING, I only need one app and it controls the doorbell, and indoor cameras.

I agree with Freehiker

I have a REDTIGER dash cam, and although I haven't captured anything cool yet, I did have a few cars race up on my right to shoot the closing gap between the truck and the next car in the lane to my right, including a motorcycle passing on my left between the truck and the guardrail at like 100 mph. . .

no live accidents. . though i put it on quite a bit on local runs in TV.

good luck

A related question...does anyone have recommendations (or even know of) dash/windshield cams for golf carts? Aside from a couple of trips per month the Rav4 sits in the garage w/the golf cart being used routinely.

I have the 4K Rexing with GPS and app access. I bought it direct from Rexing and Geek Squad at Best Buy did the installation. Had Rexing in the old car for the last 3 years.....works fine. Just make sure you know how to take out the card have a quick way to disspose of it in the event the accident is your fault

I use a Garmin DriveAssist 51 that is about 5 years old. Great quality and easy to download and edit any videos.
They have new ones out so I'd go to garmin's website and check them out then google my choices

The minute you get one, you will be rear-ended. That's just the way life works.

Those are pretty easy to establish who is at fault….

I'm glad you suggested this as I've been experiencing close calls as well. Amazon Prime Days are going on now.

Check their deals here:
