Default The best ways to get germs and virus.

Village residents need to be careful now that the...ah...."swine" flu is going around.

A friend of mine is one of those people who knows every possible way to pick up a germ. He actually told me about one that I never thought about. The nozzle on the gas pump. Not only do you hold it after a bazillion other people, you then rub your hands on the steering wheel. How's that for something to think about?

Any other ideas of good ways to pick up some germs?

Grocery cart handles are the best place to get germs. I don't know where I read it, but I read it in some study results.

I guess a bottle of hand sanitizer in our purse or car is a really good idea right now.

I used to be a sales rep, and the majority of my territory was drug stores. I felt like every germ in the world walked past me on the way back to the pharmacy. Washed my hands after every store visit!

Tony, that is true. Many grocery stores have sanitizing wipes positioned near the carts so you can wipe them off before entering the store.

How about the magazines in the waiting room at the doctors office. After waiting for hours in the waiting room, you've read every yachting and golf magazine that's been handled by sick people.

Yep. And don't lick your finger to change pages. Who else licked and turned before you.

If I keep this up, I will turn to a hermit.

Oh my! Soon we will all be just like Howard Hughes. Only we will have our computers in our solitary worlds. And because we will be solitary and agoraphobic, we will not have to repeatedly sterilize the keyboard and the mouse like they were doing on one of the morning news shows.

With all this media, you know we could end up descending into madness..... Madness. Yes! We could all descend into media-induced MADNESS!!!! ........."OUT DAMNED SPOT! OUT! I SAY!"

I am not gonna get weird like Howard Hughes. I don't like long nails!! He supposedly had them growing sooooo long because of his obsessive fear to have them cut. .....EWWWWWWWwwwwwwwwwww

How about those little levers on the coffee urns at Panera's. How many people used their fingers for other things before they pushed those levers, then you put your fingers on it and then eat your scone. HMMMMMMMMM?

And the buttons on the ATM machine???????????
