Also the golf cart accident on Belvedere mention above was not a golf cart accident, according to The Daily Sun. It was a pedestrian struck by a vehicle on Belvedere.
The accident occurred at 466 and Buena Vista. The police sent me back to the opposite side of the road on Buena Vista and I had to take a much longer way home.....El Camino to Morse instead of turning left onto 466 and travel down 466 to Morse Blvd. The Daily Sun got it wrong!!! All of the traffic heading north on Buena Vista was diverted.

Default Turned on the TV

My wife got home just a bit after that accident amd turned on the TV to see what is was all about. HAH!!! She got something about polo, a knitting club, someone who collects bird statues and the like. The same crap that was on that morning. I don't think the TV station knows what a mobile unit is. But they must have one as evey great once in a while they do an interview (you can see it 50 times every day) outside with some equally discernable people
about which most folks don't even care.
I know this isn't Orlando or Tampa-St Pete but geez, when is the news coverage going to consist of more than just bocce ball results and showing off knitting? UGH!!!!!!!
I'd fire the news director, if they even have one. And for the love of Pete, get some REAL news broadcasters on that channel!!!!

Neat bumper sticker. Went like this: "It's God's job to judge terrorists. Our job is to arrange the meeting!"

Be a gentleman, remove your hat/cap when entering a building and dining out!

Default Potential golf cart accidents

I cannot believe the number of drivers of golf carts that have their left leg hanging way out of the cart. I cannot imagine that there have not been legs damaged on some of our narrow paths.

What will it take for everyone to keep their body parts inside their cart? Perhaps an accident where someone loses a leg!!!!!

Default There already have been accidents involving limbs hanging out of golf carts.

I believe one of these was a man whose leg hit one of the posts you find on the golf cart paths. He did not lose it that I am aware of but suffered a serious injury.

At one time VNN did have mobile units with real broadcasters. They stopped, my guess that it lost money.

In the forty seven years I've been driving, I've had my share of accidents and some tickets due to the fact I was not careful or patient enough. I found that the time saved is not worth the cost of an accident and or ticket. Hopefully, I learned my lesson and will not be invovled in another episode.
In a driving class someone once said that for every two hundred times you do something wrong, you will be caught.
I drove for first time in Florida last year. I was driving down the road and a person was standing on the curb and darted in front of my car as I was approaching him causing me to hit my brakes. It wasn't that close but it did alarm me that someone would do that. What was he thinking?
I had also seen some people do some stunts when driving in the northeast.
IMHO - It doesn't matter what state your in in, it pays to drive defensively and be observant and careful.
Hopefully, the people that were affected by the accident will be okay.
