Default Birds,Birds everwhere

I walked out to my back yard this morning and I saw 100"s of Robbins all over my yard and my neighbors, what a site, I thought I was in the Hitchcock's "Birds" movie.

Talking that happened here once....

LOL ~ it was the weirdest thing to see ~ birds EVERYWHERE, but it only lasted for a couple of hours. I think they were migrating or something OH, I live out in the country, in the Evans Valley in southern Oregon !!

They are a little early this year. They usually get here in flocks like you saw the 2nd week in February. They are on their trip back north. Does that mean winter is going to end sooner than later? Let us hope!!!!! This has been a cold winter in The Villages!!! Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr................

Default Wow, now I'll know how long it takes "as the crow flies"

We usually get hundreds in our yards in Atlanta in early March. Since I know that they are there now, this year when they get here, I'll know how long it takes them to get here from TV. Thanks for the heads up. When they get here, I'll let you know.

You are fortunate. Those migrating flocks move through here very fast and not all of us get to see them. It is especially interesting for newly relocated Northerners who have only seen them alone or in pairs.

Default Birds

Thats a great picture of the Robbins Bosoxfan. It was raining and there must have been 25 or so bathing in the water on the edge of the street, I wish I took some pictures maybe next time. That was a great site to behold, God moves in strange ways.

Saw the robins last year flying very erratically. Figured out they ate berries that caused them to hallucinate and fly that way!!! We have them in our yard in our Pittsburgh home during the summer.
