Haven't read the entire thread yet, but I remember a few years ago when those that bought near Havana CC........did the complaining and I thought the same thing.......Entertainment brings people who spend $$$$ which keeps the CC people working........

I agree with you 100%

Default What noise???

When my husband and I decided to Build on a golf course my mother in law said that we would not want to be on a golf course because of the early morning mowing and maintenance noise. We thought about and made the decision to still build on a course. Almost 7 months later we are not bothered by mowing or maintenance noise because we run a portable air conditioner in our bedroom so all outside noise is drowned out. Even if the air conditioner were not on we are still not bothered by noise from the course. In fact, when the course is closed a few days a month for maintenance, we really miss the sound of carts pulling up to the tee and people laughing and having fun with the game. The golfers even kid with us when we are out on the lanai about not watching their golf swing! We really enjoy being on the course. So, If we would have listened to my mother in law, we would have missed out on an experience of a lifetime. Everyone has to weigh the pros and cons of where they live. A kissing lanai would have been the kiss of death for us, but to some folks they have no problem with it. To each their own.

You would need a calculator to add up all the over 55 communities in Florida that are quiet and peaceful. The Villages is advertised as a loud, laughter filled, sports filled community, with constant music and dance going on right into the night.
I might also add that even on this site, you will see the offer from folks living in those quiet locations asking to trade for a village home.

My Point is: If you are not happy here, it is easier to get out than it is to get into The Villages.

I believe there are 10's of thousands of residents that came here for all these reasons that seem to annoy a very few.

I would ask, please leave for a more suitable QUIET location and leave this noisy place to vast majority of residents that truly love the chaos. LIKE ME!!!!

I would like to think we are all old enough, and maybe even mature enough, to have enough sense to look around when we are buying a home and determine what outside influences migh affect us and make our decision based on those facts, but.... guess it is easy enough to get caught up in the excitement of TV to miss something. I hope the CC can remedy the situation to both appease the neighbors and continue to play music for those that enjoy it. Compromise is the best for both worlds.

Hi
We are building in bonifay on a golf course lot and wondering if we will also be bothered by the loud music? How about other noises like pickle ball or line dancing. Has that been a problem? Where are you located in bonifay, we can actually walk to the club and thought that was a selling feature

The music plays two evenings per week and ends at 8:30. It is music not Karaoke. People dance, eat, drink and have fun, If it's country music you might see line dancing. As for pickle ball not from the CC. I live close to a rec center and when I sit in the Lanai I hear the pickle ball and I'm glad because that means someone is enjoying themselves and using the facilities we pay a fee for. I wish I could have afforded a lot by the CC, or golf course because I enjoy the music and then I could walk home after partaking of food, fun and beverages. Don't worry about it sit back, relax and enjoy life,

I posted once earlier and my only point was that the OP has every right to express an opinion and to assert dissatisfaction with loud music. While some may come here to party hardy many move here for peace and quiet.
I live on a country club golf course and most times its complete silence. I do hear the mowers on the course but then I hear the mowers cutting my neighbors lawn. I sometimes hear a train in the distance but I love the sound of trains. I love music and I loved to dance but I have outgrown much of that and loud music is well just loud. So I reserve my judgment here and offer the OP my understanding
