I live in the UK and haven't used cash since before the Covid days.
Keep a few bob in my wallet just in case, but they look as if the moths have started eating them.
Card or 'ding' it on my phone.
You really do not need a bundle of the stuff.
Most of Europe is the same.

£1 and £2 are coins, £5, £10, £20 £50 are all notes.
All notes are now Polymer, no paper anymore.
