Problem Solved! We got my wife’s golf cart back Monday afternoon! It was the Throttle Cable Assembly! I guess the bang she heard was the old cable snapping! Her only concern was getting off the paved golf cart path onto the grass to prevent an accident near a blind curve near the 9th green at Kenya golf course. She couldn’t push the cart herself and was afraid of an accident. Thanks for your responses.

I called my husband to see if he could meet me. Unfortunately he was on his way back from Eustis and wouldn’t be here for about 25 minutes. I sat in my golf cart for about 20 minutes watching golf cart after golf cart either go around or come towards me without ever inquiring if I needed help. Finally after about 20 minutes a gentleman came alongside of me and asked if I needed help. I i asked if he could help me push my golf cart off the path into the grassy section on the left so I would be out of the way. He moved my cart and asked if I was ok. I thanked him over and over for stopping. As he got in his golf cart to leave he said, see, New Yorkers aren’t all bad. I sadly did not get his name, but, sir, I will say thank you again for stopping to help me!! This post is not to complain but to say, please, drivers, if you see a cart stopped along a path, just make an inquiry to see if that person needs help. I have done that many times if I see someone stopped. Thank you
It’s very easy to push your cart by yourself. You just have to put the gear in neutral.

Millennials are aged 27-42...

I doubt many of them are residents of TV...

Using predictive analysis? Forecasting? My daughter loves her (tail-less) cat, I wonder if she will make a friendly Villager.

Was it the throttle cable or throttle pedal spring ? There was a vintage of Yamaha carts around 2012 which had defective springs. I had one and your failure mode it exactly what I experience - bang and all. I fixed it myself. To my surprise I went to the Villages Cart store and asked for the spring. They came out with a beefier one - said it was an upgrade. Asked them how much. Answer was free it is a Yamaha recall.
