I like BW. Initially was not excited about the "western"style, but it has grown on me. Like the other Town Squares...............it's a Town Square. Some places to eat, some places to shop, a place to hang, a place to catch a movie. Retailers are going to come and go, but I'm enjoying the journey.

Is there a fear that the shopping area will be inundated with much younger people referring to being so close ro Wildwood? As to the fees charged, the vuilders have to get the money for infrastructure paid back somehow.

I also don't like the small town square with the stadium seating. Not very park like. A town square should have more greenery, comfortable seating and overall feel inviting, which it's not. Also, the cattle town theme reminds me of all those kiddie theme parks where they deputize the kids, and give them cap guns to go chase down the bank robber. We live closer to Brownwood, but rarely go there. Lake Sumter is my favorite and always will be.
We love Sumter as well, however, being from Michigan, I like the looks of Brownwood and the familiar feeling thinking of Brownwood in Michigan. We used to go to Torch Lake quite often. It's fun to see the street names that I remember.
I do agree though that I don't like the stadium seating.

HUGH???....The only town square as such???....Spanish Springs is located on the highly commercialized 441 and adjacent to Lady Lake. The purpose being to draw locals to the square, and, it does....just like Brownwood was designed!!

l love Sumter too but I'm also from Michigan. I love to see the streets like Petosky and Interlochen, etc. Mom and I are going to Traverse City for Labor Day and I hope to go over to Torch Lake!

Luckily, our home is between Lake Sumter and Brownwood.

What is up with the abnormal fear of Wildwood? I don't understand it.

I don't understand what the above statement means.

Anyway, I think it's great that the three town squares are so different and unique.
I love the western theme of Brownwood.
All three Town Squares rely on residents from the surrounding communities to come to TV for shopping and movies and restaurants. Why should the residents of Wildwood not be welcome in TV?

John, that building didn't set empty for all that time. It was occupied by The Veranda which I much preferred with servers taking orders and you could get regular breakfasts.

It appears to me as though all 3 town squares rely on outside business. We see young couples, perhaps on dates, and families who do not appear to be with "Grandmom and Granddad". If the squares did not draw business from "off campus", none of them would be as successful as Spanish Spring and Lake Sumter are now.

We personally LOVE the stadium seating in Brownwood. You have a much better view of the action and it is great for people watching. We also enjoy the Western Theme, it is as much old Florida as it is old Michigan.

I think that when the strip centers on 44 start being busy, more restaurants will look at Brownwood and see the location as a real asset.

I do think it will be as busy as LSL in a few years. We just have to be patient.....
