The "Western" theme is based on the cattle industry history around there not Michigan. The naming is all up north though. I remember Brownwood (Michigan) back in the day and it was something else. I still go there every time I'm up there�..it's been 2 years now. Always load up on jams, jelly, mustard and such.

I personally have only been through BW on the tour bus (right when WOB opened). I'm sure once the development around it fills out more merchants will be interested.

All three Town Squares rely on residents from the surrounding communities to come to TV for shopping and movies and restaurants. Why should the residents of Wildwood not be welcome in TV?

The bronze cattle, the large Brownwood sign directly on 44. Let's face it. The people in Wildwood come only to enjoy the free entertainment. They can't afford to shop or eat in Brownwood. I'm no snob, I'm a successful tradesman that has no qualms telling in like it is. For the most part, the people in Wildwood are what we Northerners think of when we think of the typical Florida local. There, I've said it. May the arrows start flying in my direction now...

I cringe to think what people in Wildwood think of us with some of the previous remarks. People are just people and are not defined by where they live. There is a little bit of good in the worst of us and a little bit of bad in the best of us and all of us can sure tell a lot about how each of us was raised.


The difference between Wildwood and the Villages is that we don't have pockets of poor people, we have pockets of selfish and unkind and self absorbed and entitled people. Well not pockets, but glaring examples, how's that? Many of us have been poor. Many of us have had far less than we have now, but thankfully, many of us have been raised with respect and consideration for others.

Sorry Gracie, but all people are not the same. Values for one, work ethic for another. Simply because you are poor does not entitle you to live like a pig or raise your children to think they are entitled to government handouts. This cuts across all racial lines and all ethnicities. I considers myself a social liberal, but I will NEVER understand why people simply because they earn less money then myself show the world that they could care less of their surroundings, can't pick up a wrapper, and can't pick themselves up by their bootstraps and improve their lives for themselves and their family.
