Oh, if only they would lower their prices a little. It would be great to have an MVP down at our southern end.

That's even better. But I wonder if that would have to be outside of TV land?

I was told, by someone that probably doesn't know any more than the rest of us, that the parcel to which you are referring was to be the site of the new Costco. Just heard it last week, so not sure where he got his information...

Justjim---a Y would be an excellent. Inside pool included. Hubby and I would join immediately. I wonder How does one put this idea in motion. Go one step further ( I know a "a pipe dream")-- have a mini dog care addition. Drop them off for an hour while we work out and a the whole family benefits!!

Hopefully, Mark Morse will have some major announcements to make when he delivers his annual 'State of The Villages' address later on this spring. He always says listen to him, not to the gossip. Get there early when the date and time are announced, or you won't get in.

Thumbs up Publix Coming to New Shopping Complex Near Brownwood

I just talked to the Sumter County Planning Office. Permits are being pulled for construction of a new shopping center along 44 just to the West of Brownwood. A new Publix will be the first store open in this complex. The Planner indicated he thought the store will be open within 6 months. He said the location is where you can see dirt being moved around now (Feb 2014)

Isn't a "big box store" usually Costco or BJ's. Please please please - anything but Sam's would be a delight.
