Also, the main seating in Brownwood will be permanent bleacher/stadium type seating. I daresay it will be more difficult, but certainly not impossible, to rope off and save seats. It's still TBD if there will also be daily removable plastic chairs. Still, it would be great if some proactive signage or design would help deter seat savers.

I won't even get into the discussion about trailer parks and Wildwood. I have confidence that local security and police presence will ensure that crime and behavior are kept in check.
We have chosen to live in The Villages. People close by Brownwood have lived in that Community of modular homes well before The Villages were flourishing. They are people who are looking to enjoy the Florida sunshine too, very much like what motivated all of us to move here. I bet they are sitting out on their front patios with their friends talking about all of us "snobs" who will be soon moving up close to their part of Paradise.

Modular homes are very much the same size as many of our homes and are a mainstay in Florida as a choice for snowbirds, snowflakes and year round residents. Some are small and others are quite roomy and people are very proud of their castles, no matter which moat they cross.

I have relatives and friends who live in "trailers" in Florida.

But maybe after reading the comments made by folks about trailer parks I got all defensive over nothin'. Maybe I read wrong and no one meant to look down on those folks, just worrying they were gonna save tables. Some times I am too late with too little and sometimes I am too early with too much.

First it was "undesireable aspects" now "trailer park residents"............wonder what will be next?

Default Not even hear yet

It's not even open yet and we're beating the crap out of it. How many people from outside visit TV on a daily basis. When the square opens if you don't want to mix with the likes of the so called outsiders of that area DON'T go to Brownwood. Just remember when the malll opens on the otherside of Brownwood maybe you shouldn't got there or the Butterbaenery or Spars or Continental CC or anything else outside the bubble. Everybody lives someplace and they're all entitled to visit TV. Maybe when you came to visit the first time those how lived here said oh great another outsider coming . It's not private property and we live here and own a very small piece of the big picture.

I posted first about the undesireable aspects of Wildwood such as their drug dealing that goes on in Wildwood. It was another poster who added in "I see a bigger problem when all the people that live in the trailer parks along 44 show up at the crack of dawn to save tables and chairs for special events."

I said nothing about outsiders not being welcome at Brownwood. I was only wondering about the effects of large numbers of outside residents having upon the residents of The Villages feeling same and happy.

next you'll be complaining about Villagers from the 'historical' side!!!

On the West Side of Rt. 139 & the N. side of Rt. 44 where the big piece of land is cleared going west towards Rt 301. There's a large mall scheduled to be built there. No stores mentioned yet.

I was not complaining about anyone, just pointing out the problem with too many people saving tables and chairs at special events in the squares.

there is no mall scheduled here. there will be 'big box' but not a traditional 'indoor mall'

I miss quoted. Coming from NY not all Malls were Enclosed. So I misstated this as a mall. It was originly going to be called Antril Dell. There is also another large parcel on the south side off rt 44 opposite the general area of Brownwood for sale zoned mixed use.

on that I agree, there should be a box in each square where you can dump the stuff people put on chairs to save them, putting something on a chair and walking away for an hour is just plain rude.
