Default Buena Vista - South of 466A - cars beware

One of my ways to relax is to ride around TV in my golf cart on a warm evening. I like to drive to places where dirt still exists (St Charles at the moment). Recently the cart path on Buena Vista south of 466A opened, so my dog Caly and I will venture down there once in a while. It is quite a scenic spot so I created an album on my "is it called a home page??" of TOTV to share with folks not lucky enough to see it in person. (I am no artist )

Went down there last evening and at the intersection of 466A and Buena Vista was a police officer sitting in his car. Since there are signs in the road saying ROAD CLOSED, I stopped and asked if I can take my cart down there and he said yes, but you must stay on the cart path. The cart path goes down the east side about 3/4 of a mile (not measured) where it ends.

As I was cruising along a car with what could have been a couple from the villages drove by. Within 30 seconds, on come the lights and they were pulled over. I have no idea what happened to them but the officer had them there for at about 10 minutes. When they left it was back the way they came and the officer was back in his car.

So if you want a picturesque ride, try BV south of 466a, but leave your car at home.

I have also seen a car pulled over on BV south of 466a.

I took my golf cart for a ride down there recently - it will be interesting to compare the open fields that are there today with the houses, rec centers, golf courses, etc. of the future.

Smile

Nice pictures.
I think I'll take a ride later.

Your dog is cute, I like his smile.

Thank you. It is hard to know from the picture of Caly, but yes SHE has a nice smile. She is often mistaken for being a male dog when out for a walk.

Never offended, she knows she is big boned

A couple of weeks ago we played Sand Hill and noticed a sheriffs car sitting by the intersection of 466A and Buena Vista. In the course of our round of golf the officer stopped two cars who had driven around the barriers.

Caly is beautiful! It's funny you should mention that she's often mistaken for being a male dog. My Shih Tzu, Bogey, is so small for his breed that he is virtually always mistaken for a she. (It doesn't help that Shih Tzus are just feminine looking dogs to begin with.) His only response to being called a she is: pet me and I'll wag my tail.

I'll vouch for Bogey. He's an incorrigible (and adorable) flirt! Bet Carly is, too.

that is why the barriers are there, no cars allowed still. Road is not open to car traffic yet. When it is, all barriers will be removed. It is still considered a construction site till it is opened. You can be cited for trespassing. I have seen many of cars pulled over down there.
Heard it was suppose to open yesterday. when it does you will be able to tell.

i just came back from a bicycle ride, and there is a black fence/barrier acros the recreational trail.....so i guess that it is closed for all traffic. darn it; but the recreational trail by turtle mound is a really nice ride anyway...
sure wish that we had some recreational trails that meandered through the villages, and not just on the sides of the major roadways.
