Default Possible optional fees

I have been trying to set up a monthly budget for when we move to our new CYV in Buttonwood.

I have all the usual fees such as the amenities, golf cart insurance, Priority memberships, electric, water, and bond fees.

Can anyone think of some additional fees that I should include? For example, I had someone come up with one that I think is a necessity but never thought about: towing insurance for my golf cart.

I am open to any ideas that you have all experienced.

Thank you

Personally I don't put the little things like golf cart towing in the budget. For all of those I just put a MISC number in for each month.

I include:

Mortgage, if any
Prop tax
bond payment
home ins
Priority golf membership
car ins
cable, internet (and home phone if included)
electric
Amenities fee, sewer, water bill (they come together)
Life ins if any
cell bill (and/or home phone)
lawn service (if used)
pest service (inside and out if used)
car payment if any
cart savings per month to buy next cart
Groceries
Restaurant allocation if any
Savings for travel if any
MISC

I'm sure I missed a few but that is my list off the top of my head.

Another one - doesn't necessarily amount to much - would be golf cart insurance.

Your 'lawn service' should include any/all of: mowing & trimming, fertilization/weed control, and shrub/flower bed care.

Other than that, Russ has everything I take into account.

The golf cart towing company was $50 for two years. The insurance for the golf cart was $130 a year for a new 2011 Yamaha $10,000 cart.

Not sure if you have already thought about all the "start up" costs as they aren't monthly costs (unless you take advantage of the "free financing for X amount of time deals). On our new home we have had the following (so far):
Blinds
landscaping
sprinkler head "donuts"
Lanai furniture
interior painting
attic stairs in the garage
cabinet knobs
cabinet pullouts
ceiling fans
washer/dryer
storage racks (for garage)
golf cart

"Plenty of blank checks" - - - check!

"Extra ink pens" - - - check!

Now you're good to go!

Default Sprinkler head donuts?

What are those? Do I need them? Can I install them myself? Don't they come with the irrigation system when it is installed? Does the police department have extras?

I see priority golf on the list. So you better add the greens fee at least $200/mo.

They are round hard plastic or ceramic "donuts" that go around your sprinkler head. They protect your sprinkler head from breaking off from the lawn mower. They cost about $1 each. You can install yourself, (which is simple but laborous as you need to cut out the grass around each sprinkler head) or have your lawn service/landscaper do it. We had our lawn service do it and they charged us $2 each which included the cost of the donut and installation.
