If you determine that your lot is an issue for any reason, you are allowed to transfer to another lot one time without any penalty. You can also use the money to buy a spec house, and you have up to a year to make your decision as to what you want your deposit money to go towards! Good luck!

#1, garages are for cars, not “stuff”. We happen to enjoy our collector car, like many of the people in t.v. do, as evidenced by the many vintage car clubs that exist. This is is one of the many reasons we are relocating to t.v.
#2, larger garage also allows for workshop space eliminating the need to pay every Tom, Dick, and Harry to repair a pipe, when one is handy enough.
#3, it is difficult to visit a lot three times a day when you live 2000 miles away. The way the t.v. Sales are today, the lot is here today, and gone today. There is no time given for investigating. This is what we are doing now, as evidenced by my question.
We will be visiting in a few weeks but thought we could get the opinions of t.v. residents who are more familiar with the area. We appreciate everyone's response so far.

Your guess is correct about the area across the pond from OP’s lot. In the latest “Continuing the Dream” video by TV on Sawgrass Grove there are a couple of drone scenes that show OP’s lot, the Laurel Oak Course and Sawgrass Grove from the air. There are already streets and utilities in the area across the pond from her.

OP, a lot of good feedback on this post. Many great and smart folks in TV's. I have move numerous times with transfers, upsizing, downsizing, etc. Most of the deals that slipped by me, perhaps late on a bid, etc, in retrospect I am glad they did, but not at the time. This lot does not appear to be a one of a kind, appears your already questioning it now. If you pull the plug and walk, I believe you will look back with no regrets. Please keep this post updated on your final decision. Your new family would like to know!!! best

Yes! Often, the sales representative does not know and that too, is the individual's responsibility.

You do not need to justify your garage/home choices to anybody. I am sorry you feel you must. If people have nothing else to do but judge, they have too much time on their hands and should be enjoying the villages lifestyle and all of the wonderful benefits this place offers - wishing you the best of luck! Hoping you find that garage - it is possible. Remember, your lot of choice seems like the only one right available at this moment, and there are hundreds, upon hundreds of homes being built!

Lots were mostly sold when we first came down to look. At the time Hawkins was available we were still look for spec homes. Now that we realized we have to build, citrus grove is the only area in the near future, with lots large enough to hold a 3 or 4 car garage.
Hammock at Fenney will be building in the very near future and there will be both view and golf course lots available there.

The way these homes and lots are selling now the lot or home you would be interested in while waiting for something in writing will most likely be sold out from under you.

Many homes all over the Villages near powerlines, solid waste facilities (e.g.the Pine Villages), road noise, etc appreciated and sell quickly.

Was in Palm Beach this weekend and there are thousands of million dollar plus homes within ear shot of the Turnpike and/or I95.

Amen to that. A lot of people are bother by noise but there are many that do not find it annoying at all. When I was growing up my grandmother lived within 20 yards of a railroad track and she always had her windows open weather permitting so that she could hear the trains even better. There are multiple buyers out there for every home that is available.

Some people are just not 'Car' people! We got the largest 2 1/2 car garage we could find as the houses with 3 & 4 car garages were just too far above what we wanted to pay. That said, I'm looking into a car stacker and/or offsite storage for my 'toys'. All of them American muscle cars, but being in the U.K. yours might be some sweet British rides! I've been to the car show at Spanish Springs a couple of times and there's a guy there with an pristine Jaguar E type convertible. Gorgeous car, you're going to fit right in. Good luck finding your car cave.

We rode our bikes in Citrus Grove on Sunday and went by your lot along the retention pond across from the intersection of James and Danielson. There was a very slight breeze blowing toward the turnpike and we could not hear any noise from the traffic.

It appears there might be a walking/biking path being built along the pond right behind your lot. It looks like the path will encircle the pond. Maybe your realtor will have more info about it.

So far, keeping the lot until we get down there to see it. Cant give it up yet because aren’t any lots which will hold 3-4 car garage, without power lines or huge towers in close view, without a kissing lanai and without hearing the tpke. Hawkins was pretty but again, the lot with a large enough front for a big garage was almost impossible. Anything south of here will be in a much higher tax bracket and even closer to the tpke. I won’t happy until I see it.
