We have a built in hot tub in our lanai that has a cracked pipe under the concrete. We would like it removed and the hole filled in, and a new free standing hot tub installed. Has anyone had this done? Suggestions?

Now if you truly have a poured concrete (or equal) then you should have the original installer review the problem as you may not be able to abandon the leaking pipe, also it might be repairable without disturbing the existing concrete. If you go with the full removal, you will probably need 2 permits, a spa permit and an electrical permit, be sure your contractor gets both. You may need a building permit for the new foundation in the area of the removal, I would not trust simply filing the hole with concrete as I expect this would cause cracking with the existing pad.

You can call “Spa Kingdom” or any other hot tub company for a quote.

A big Jack or 6 to 8 burly men to lift it out hole. IMO if hot tub few years old not worth repairing. If you really use it enough I would get company to remove old one fill in hole and put new one on slab. That way can get inside in case needs repaired. I sure going to cost several thousand dollars? That’s when got to as yourself do I really use it that much?
