Default Bugs after dark, South of 44

Last night I was riding my bicycle after dark around one of the "Preserve's" paved paths. I've never seen so many bugs at one time in my life. I did have a light on the front of the bike, and it may have attracted some bugs. But still, they were so thick that I was having difficulty seeing through them -- like driving at night in a snowstorm while mesmerized by the falling flakes. Some were mosquitos, a few dragon flies, and the rest were a gnat-like smaller bug.

I've read threads where Villagers mention no bugs in the northern sections. South of 44, we got bugs after dark.

I ride in the morning, no bugs at all.

They have them up north too. Just as thick, on the golf courses.
