I don't think Stillwater is any busier than most tunnels. The problem is having to wait to turn left because of carts coming from LSL. It would make things so much easier if folks would use Old Mill Road to get to BV or even to the tunnel. Then those exiting, especially turning left, would have a chance to go. During non-snowbird season, it is a pain. During snowbird season, it becomes nigh on impossible until someone stops to let a tunnel cart turn left. I avoid that tunnel as much as possible any time of the year. The rest of the tunnels can be busy but traffic does flow through them.

The busiest tunnel of them all is the one you're waiting in.

I apologize, I certainly didn't mean to be defensive or to make this thread about snowbirds. Sorry VT2TV.
I was just stating that roads (and tunnels) will be getting even busier. I agree with you that the increased population does impact life in TV.
I think we just all need to ramp up our defensive driving skills and be very patient.

I tried walking from the parking lot of Turtle Mound to Sandhill using the tunnel on a not so busy day and I'll never do that again. People don't expect walkers and I was in 2 or 3 close calls. It's much safer crossing Buena Vista on the street or hitching a ride in a golf cart to get across.
