The best way to learn is from experience.
Unless you are totally deranged, you only hit a speed ramp once in your life at high speed.
I tried it once, never again.
Speed ramps work.
No need for suspension problems, or injuries if you take them slowly enough.
Emergency vehicles same as cars, still have to stop and wait for the gate arms to rise.
At least when a gate arm is down, a temporary speed ramp would slow traffic.

Near misses are reality, have witnessed more than few not the cart drivers fault, but due to car, entering so fast from roundabout and accelerating, Blowing through the stop signs. They either can’t see the cart waiting in the middle or simply don’t care.

But your are correct a car runs over a cart at ST Charles speedway, would definitely bring attention to the issues. Any Volunteer’s?

How many accidents have there been, reported? How many close calls, back ups, etc. The gates are supposed to help with traffic flow and safety. I would think the idea is to stop accidents before they happen. Just because accidents May not have happened yet, doesn't mean that it is a safe situation.

LOL, right, in "most" cases, LOL, obviously, not all.....no solution seems to work 100%. Oddly enough, when we came years ago to looks at lots with a sales rep, we asked about the gates since we had no card to open. Sales rep told us NOT to "worry about it", and informed us we did NOT have to go to an entrance with an attended gate, but "just stay REAL close to my (rep) bumper and come on through when I do, don't stop or hesitate ! "

If the company that is supposed to be fixing the gates would give some of us that know how to fix stuff the hardware that is used to attach back the arm to the mechanism, they would get fixed a lot quicker.
