You apparently did not read the whole thread and breezed past Post #1.

No I read it in its entirety. I'm not saying it wasn't a dog bite, I'm just saying I've never seen one blister up like that. I'm always around dogs and have been my whole life. Been bitten more times than I can count, I've never seen one blister up like that even when infected... and I've had a few of those as well.

Curious; the bloody hand looks like the right hand, but the infected(?) photo appears to be the left?

Thanks for your insight. I can state that I haven't been gardening or around any plants, weeds, etc. since this happened.

Looks like the 2nd photo was taken in a mirror so that's probably why it looks like the left hand.

Good observation. That picture was taken in portrait mode. Here is a normal pic:

Have you seen a doc or dermatologist since it started blistering up? Again, not arguing but if that was me I'd be asking for another opinion/evaluation. You can get that from another animal or person if they just came in contact prior to the event.
.
"Poison ivy and other poison plant rashes can't be spread from person to person. But it is possible to pick up the rash from plant oil that may have stuck to clothing, pets, garden tools, and other items that have come in contact with these plants."

If you post that you need to get in touch w this guy, his friends might not respond if they knows he in trouble. Just say it important to get in touch w him. Just a suggestion.

It’s amazing how all threads get off track from discussions of an apparatus power supply to Comcast Service/Youtube there have been plenty of threads regarding cutting the cord.

Did the OP ever exactly say how he got bitten? Did the dog just rear up and bite the hand? Or did the OP put his hand between two fighting dogs?

Theres alot missing in this story. Including the accused perp who is back home up north.

Not medical advice. Many years ago I was in my teens-so MANY YEARS AGO. Our dog got into a fight with another dog and my dad broke it up. My dad was bit by the other dog. He did not have any information on the dog the owner etc.

Rabies shots were a big deal. Perhaps, less so now. My dad was advised the chance of a pet dog having rabies is very slight. Dad was fine.

Trying to find the owner, THE DOG, of course makes sense.

All that is totally irrelevant to the problem, why is that so hard to understand? Even if he antagonized the dog, he was bitten and it needs to be verified that the animal is up to date on it's vaccinations and that is healthy. The rabies shots are painful and if not vaccinated, death from rabies is a horrible process.

Yes, there is a lot missing. As far as the original poster getting bit putting his hand between two fighting dogs or did one rear up and bite him? May not be clear to all.
Rabes causes a dog to be aggressive.

If, I recall there is a limited time after being bit by a rabid animal to begin the shots which are a big deal. I suspect from the original post, hopefully they have located the person and there is proof the dog has been vaccinated. If, not I think too much time has passed for the human to take the shots if he has not.

Perhaps, we/I seek a good ending to the story rather than a rerun.

My posts-frankly these threads regularly go all over the place. With villagers injecting their own bias. I am not a doctor. Rather than posting, I suggest you go IMMEDIATELY to one of the walk in clinics. They can diagnose the problem. They can extract fluid from those fluid filled sacks and tell you what is wrong and what NEEDS to be done.

My advice. I hate going to any doctor. Years ago, I had melanoma. My wife likely saved my life when she said get your xxxxx to a doctor.
