I need someone to help move furniture about 4 miles from 1 home to another. Thanks for any advice.

There are several local movers in the villages that do this service, or are you after a handyman and a pickup truck? There are usually advertisements in the Daily Sun for movers.

We have used James Dose Dose and were happy. Search his name here and will find contact info, also recommendations.

We just moved less than 2 miles and used Quality Movers in Fruitland Park. They were on time and efficient. We have used them twice before. Be careful and be sure who you hire has insurance including workman’s comp!

If this is the same young black man I am thinking of, I can completely agree. He is faster than I was at his age. He works FT for a furniture company and understands how to move furniture and not damage it. He is very polite and hardworking.

We used his services twice with unloading U-hauls. My parents used his service once and that included unloading the U-haul and a full setup of furniture and beds.

If you rent a uhaul truck online, before you finish they will provide a list of small business movers and their prices that you can contact. If you don't need a truck then you can quit the process after you gather the information.

Tom Tisdell is your guy. Has great equipment. On time, reasonably priced. I’ve used him many times. His number:

We used Mitchell’s Movers for a shorter move. They were fantastic. They were much less than other quotes and were very careful with all our furniture. I highly recommend them.

You will probably have to leave a message but he calls everyone back that evening. I have used him many, many times. Always on time, inexpensive.

I used Two Guys and a Truck to move from Fenney to DeLuna. They did a good job.

We just moved from one Village to another and used The Village Mover. We were happy with their service.
