Default Canadian Loonies & Toonies Meeting

I'm excited to report that the "kick-off" meeting of the Loonies & Toonies Club will be held at La Hacienda on November 13. Please add it to your calendar. Following is the meeting information provided by Dave Horsman and Pat Irving - Your Executive.

If you have questions, please post here or PM me.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Our first meeting of the new winter season will be held on Wednesday November 13 at 6:30 pm at our familiar confines at La Hacienda Recreation Center, Carmen Miranda Room. Please bring your own beverages and snacks to socialize with all of your fellow Canadians.

Our registration desk will open at 5:30 PM. It will be very busy as we will be commencing sign up and renewal for the 2013 -2014 season. Please come early so we can get this formality out of the way and be able to start our meeting on time.

We have three guests with us who will help us kick off the year with a bang:

First Up is Kristin Coleman [who is originally from Wynyard, Saskatchewan]. Kristin has spent the past 20 years in the Fitness Industry. Until recently she was fitness manager for the MVP athletic Club [formally known as the Wellness center]. Kristin still teaches classes at MVP and will be helping us get ready for winter by demonstrating some healthy, do-at-home exercises, giving us a few tips on how to improve our already healthy situation. And she will let us know what MVP can offer us as Snowbirds.

Our second special guest is PGA professional Michael Girard of Tree Tops Golf in Lady Lake, Florida. Michael was recognized at the 2012 PGA Merchandise Show and 2013 for Play Golf America's Top 25 performers in the nation. He will be giving us a small golf lesson to get us ready for the winter. And he will talk about Tree Tops Golf practice and learning facility just outside the Villages on Rolling Acres Road.

Our third special guest is our favourite entertainer, Mike Palma, know as "Just Mike". He will once again favour us with his popular musical stylings during the evening.

Hope to see you all on November 13 as we start out Fourth winter together.

P.S. I forgot to say that the membership last year was around 650, which is amazing for a three-year old Club! And we had members from almost every Province from British Columbia to Prince Edward Island.

Barefoot:
Your post has reminded me that the Canucks will be arriving soon. That's good news as you folks always bring a little more civility to "Florida's Friendliest Hometown".

I've had three PMs asking about membership fees. The fee per year is $5 per person. The money is used to pay for entertainment, members' badges, charitable donations to thank Speaker's, etc.
