We're new here and do not know anyone. Family is all up in PA. Ideas?

Default Ohiobuckeye

All car rentals are getting way to expensive. We use to always rented for $300. to $325. to drive to Ohio & back to Texas & for 10 days & NO mileage charge. A yr. & a half later it’s $1,000. for the exact same thing. I guess it doesn’t hurt to check, but maybe you might find one for about $600. Good luck rental cars keep you from wearing out your car!

Not a very good first post. Having to deal with car problems.
Might check CraigsList for a used car. Probably buy one cheaper than you can rent one for week.

And then have it towed to the mechanic too? Not good advice for someone who is obviously strapped for cash
