Default Stuff on your lawn for sale???

that would be a big no-no. Guy with a couple of monster sized harley's had them on his lawn for sale...hopefully they'll be gone soon...if not you'll be seeing chairs, couches, lamps, walkers, ash cans...well you get the idea...

Why is it that some folks just can't abide by simple rules and regs? And why on earth would they move to a place that has and enforces those rules?

*sigh* the world is full of mysteries...

Hey Fred, could you please lighten up a little. Those are not Monster Motorcycles but they are for big boys. You might like riding if you gave it a chance. Stop on by Fred. We can have a beer and talk Motorcycles. Oh I gave our lamps, old sofa and lawn furniture to good will so I won't be putting stuff like that out there.

What I always wondered about the rule on garage sales where you may not place anything on the driveway or yard. Your stuff must be restricted to the confines of the garage correct? From what I've seen on any given weekend I've never seen 100 percent compliance. Given this happens on a weekend there is no evidence on Monday morning there was a garage sale. If I was their neighbor I would do anything to help them get rid of their stuff.

It seems that vehicles are the exception to items for sale on lawns. I've seen cars, motorcycles and golf carts on many lawns with for sale signs all over TV.

Common sense needs to be switched on or rules will be heaped on rules.....soon we will all leave due to lack of common sense and freedom.

Default Follow agreed on rules.

That is so true about moving somewhere with an hoa and not abiding by your agreement.

Hi Fred,

I bet you are a nice person. The guy that has the bikes out is also a real nice person. Since this got your goat up you could have easily gone up to him and said something. Ya know like in the old days when men would talk and shoot the s___. He probably would have offered you a cool one. This is a great forum but when people talk about others', it doesn't solve the issue.

in the past and what usually happens is the person whom you request this of starts in on a rant about how it's their stuff, their property and I have no right...it's nice you live in the same past as I remember, but I've run into to many turds to think just "manning" up works much any more...

As for talking about "others" sometimes it's the only way...unfortunately...I don't assume anyone is a nice person when they "just do as they please" and to hell with anyone else...

as you aren't allowed to put anything on your lawn "for sale" and while many people do it...it still looks like crap....

Complaining on a forum is a good way to vent for those who lack the courage to speak to someone face to face. You're right missypie, it solves nothing.

I wasn't even aware of that rule. We've had a couple of yard sales and we had stuff on the driveway for both of them.

If we do it again, we'll stay in the garage.
