A while ago my wife, our dog bailey, and I were sitting out in the front yard observing the approaching storm. Coming off Chapparell street this cart tryed making the turn onto our street at a high rate of speed. He hit the curbing and went into the next yard almost flipping over. He bounced around and I seen he had a little dog. I ran over thinking the dog had been thrown from the cart. The guy guns the throttle and speeds up the street. No sign of dog so I assume it stayed with cart. I am so ticked off by this person but i'm glad I didn't have to call for paramedics. I'm concerned about the small dog since I couldn't clearly see it in the seat next to him. I can only describe the cart as electric, bright yellow with black top. The driver was an older white haired man which doesn't help. The dog is white and about the size of a Carnes terrier. Unfortunately no one else seen this.

I feel your irritation. Maybe he was trying to beat the storm home, but still... Too fast for conditions.

True. There is a guy with full-size, unfettered Dalmatian in the front seat who drives his cart at least 30mph down our street, making two sharp turns. One to the left, & a hundred feet later, one to the right. I keep waiting for that Dalmatian to end up a landscaping feature.

Wish the police would crack down on both carts and automobiles drivers

This guy yesterday definately loss control of his cart because he came flying around onto our street so fast he could'nt safely negotiate the turn. Some people are wreckless. I try not to believe he may have been intoxicated because I can't verify it. We were going north on Morse yesterday around 2 pm and were passed by no less than 8 carts that were going a lot faster than the 20 mph we were going.

I have gotten passed at least three times every day this past week and only one golf cart was tagged as street legal. I don't "poke" along but am doing near the 20 mph limit (on straightaways, always slow down for curves). I have only observed one golf cart pulled over by the sheriff in the times I have been here. Is it possible that people don't know the ramifications of their actions? Do they presume that just because they can go faster it is ok? And by the way, the distribution of speeding driver gender observed by me is about equal although I can't say my observations are statistically significant.

None of the carts passing us on morse were street legal. I think there are a lot of souped up carts flying around here because they know can get away with and have no fear of getting caught. I don't want to say law enforcement are not doing their job. I've never seen them on morse when I'm on it.

Yes, I do not have a cart, yet, so as I am cruising around in my car, I am very careful to maintain the speed limits, and I have been passed (on the right) by a cart when I was going 30.1 mpg (gps reading). Also have seen carts passing carts. Being new to the area, and driving a car, I have learned to be very wary of cart drivers, who never know what they will do next.
