Anyone's negative words can't hurt the attraction of TV. People have a personal beef over something every day but if you see The Villages in person it needs no promotion. When your at the top of your category no matter what it is it has become a sport to try and knock you off of the #1 spot. I had 9 appointments from Ocala to Tampa to look at places to live this past March. When my 3rd stop was in TV I called the others and cancelled the appointments...I found home...I knew it immediately. I actually teared up a little. My investigation when I arrived home just confirmed my feelings. The golf cart accidents are a shame but people who rush will never stop rushing, the only chance you have is to be aware of your surroundings when driving just like anywhere else.

Insurance on a golf cart is currently low----lookout in the future when the insurance industry gets their act together on all these accidents.

It seems like a relatively low number given the traffic flow here in the Villages. Not so much if you are in one on these accidents but that's another matter.

It is supposedly tonight. And the events in Paris do seem a lot more important than a few golf cart accidents in the Villages. Preventing injuries to Villages in golf carts is important too but mainly for Villagers and their guests.

Over the years CBS has done several pieces on us. Most are flattering including the lifestyle and the golf cart drill team. I suspect this piece was developed because this is the largest golf cart community and there is a National movement of communities that are opening their streets to golf carts and removing street parking to facilitate the integration. Let's wait until the piece airs before we start throwing rocks.

I thought for sure when CBS said that clowns would be on next, they would be talk about Villagers driving golf carts. Alas, Villagers will be next sometime in the future.
