This segment was meant as a two minute filler to show grandpa living in a golf cart community. No hidden agenda. No earth shattering green plant directive. Come on folks, lighten up.

The price of an LSV or Versa is based on what it costs to manufacture and what the customer will pay. The product solves a customer's problem.

But a diamond or work of art or even a rolling stones concert is mostly based on what the customer will pay and doesn't solve a problem.

I don't think they relate to each other.

Here is the segment which was pretty fair and not at all negative about TV:

The real story about golf cart use in TV was completely missed/overlooked/avoided(?).
Low speed vehicle use is dwarfed by conventional/custom golf cart use.

I am also tired of reading about all that is wrong with the villages on here and on facebook. you do not see segments on how some of the clubs have filled a bus with school supplies, or hundreds of pajamas or tons of food for the pantrys and so on and so on, just the bad stuff. well I for one would just like to say if you do not like the villages stay the hell out of here. do not come and use our stores, squares or restaurants. and keep your golf carts off the cart paths we pay for. yes, we do have golf cart collisions just like car wrecks everywhere, we do have two for one drinks at the square which some people have no common sense about but we are a normal community just living the rest of our life with fun, happiness, activity and friends. most people who comment on this negitively are people with nothing in their lives other than gossiping or wanting what others have that they do not. as far as the news stations who cares what they think they never get it right anyway. so I for one will continue to go to the squares and have a great time with whatever time I have left on this earth.

You appear to be a new member.
You will find soon enough it always seems the 2% minority/isolated isses get the attention as if they were the general condition when we all know it is not.

The other 98+% of us feel just like you in that there is more good in one day in TV than there is in manyy places in a year or more.

So we acknowledge the minority reports and isolated cases but have learned to not be burdened in any way by them.

Nothing more than a fluff piece for CBS to fill a few minutes. CBS cares!

Question Why The Villages?

Wonder why they picked The Villages? Could it have anything to do with politics? After all, just two fatalities out of the millions of cart miles driven does not seem like a high fatality rate.

Good point. If it was supposed to be about cart accidents, at least originally, the community with the most accidents is Sun City, Arizona. And that is a lot closer to Hollywierd.

Frankly I am a bit tired of those curious folks poking at us as if we were a lab experiment. I am not flattered by the attention especially topics that are degrading or exaggerated .
....totally!

I am new to The Villages, but have been all over in my cart. It seems as if the trails were designed to be used at slow speed, i.e. there are bends when it could be straight, some areas are over grown with bushes making the paths narrower. Newer carts are a bit wider which is safer. Newer areas have some great paths.
Headlights are another problem, cart headlight are Spotlight, not real headlights as in your Vehicle. If you cart at night I am sure you have been blinded by oncoming cart lights being too high, and that is what Spotlights are.<
